MASTERPIECES FROM PRIVATE COLLECTIONS

“Masterpieces from Private Collections” is Dynamicart’s representative exhibition format which presents to the public artworks lent by private collectors, in order to give visitors the opportunity to admire often unavailable masterpieces from every historical and artistic era. Dynamicart is a new place where the artworks belonging to great collectors meet art lovers.

"Masterpieces from Private Collections" underlines the aim of introducing the general public to works that are difficult to see and often never exhibited in a museum. Exhibitions are often organised as the final step of a critical journey or art historical research. Dynamicart overturns this concept, by making the exhibition a further element and an opportunity to carry on research and study the works of great masters."

On 20th April 2023 Dynamicartmuseum inaugurated its new location with the identifying format “Masterpieces from Private Collections”, displaying artworks, exclusively from private collections, by Piero della Francesca, Tintoretto, Guido Reni, Rubens, Canaletto, Francesco Guardi, Mario Schifano and Renato Guttuso. An itinerary that extended through the rooms on the first floor of the museum space, taking the public on a journey through the History of Art, from the 15th century to the 20th century. The exhibition, which lasted four months until July, marked the start of the new exhibition season at Dynamicartmuseum.

The third edition of "Masterpieces from Private Collections" was entirely dedicated to Keith Haring. A collection of works from the 1980s by the father of Street Art. Silkscreens, lithographs, and prints are just some of the media on display among those experimented by the artist to narrate central themes of his poetics, such as disinformation on AIDS, the danger of nuclear power stations, or the study of erotic and advertising subjects. A selection of works realised for the Neapolitan gallery owner Lucio Amelio is also among the works on show.

The second edition of 'Masterpieces from Private Collections' offered the public the opportunity to admire masterpieces from all art-historical periods by masters of the calibre of Caravaggio (Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio) and Sebastiano Ricci, as well as exponents of Modernism and Conceptual Art.

The exhibition 'XX - The Great Italian 20th Century' was conceived as the second part of the exhibition of 'Masterpieces from Private Collections', in its first edition.

For this part, only works by Italian artists who made 20th century art history have been selected. Artists such as Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni, Agostino Bonalumi, Enrico Castellani, Giorgio de Chirico, Fortunato Depero, Lucio Fontana, Piero Manzoni, Vincenzo Agnetti, Achille Perilli, Emilio Vedova. Paintings and sculptures are on display, expressing fundamental moments of the Italian artistic language of the 20th century, retracing a century of astonishing poetic richness, with artists who were part of some of the most significant movements of the time: the Futurist Avant-garde, Metaphysics, Spatialism, Abstractionism, Arte Povera and Informal Art, creating an exciting excursus in one of the most fertile centuries for contemporary art.

From 5 June to 1 August 2021, Dynamicartmuseum launched its signature format 'Masterpieces from Private Collections', bringing more than 120 masterpieces from private collections around the world to the public for the first time.

This first edition featured, on the one hand, artists such as Caravaggio, Titian, Tintoretto and many others, and, on the other hand, Italian artists from the 20th Century known throughout the world: Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni, Fortunato Depero, Giorgio De Chirico, Lucio Fontana, Emilio Vedova, Vincenzo Agnetti and others.
