D2121

The idea of exploring the world of NFTs was almost a compulsory choice for Dynamicartmuseum, both because of our inexhaustible curiosity about this exuberant artistic movement and because of the importance of this new art movement as an expression and essence of the digital age where we are living in.

D2121 is a portrait of the historical moment in which the relationship between the two worlds, the physical and virtual, begins to become more and more cohesive. It is a focus on the use of digital art in the physical field and the delivery of its various forms of expression.

What were the possibilities of art 100 years ago and, given the exponential growth of the opportunities offered by the digital world, what are the possibilities it will have in 100 years?

“D2121” investigates the present with an eye to tomorrow, through works by artists who, in a short and exponentially accelerated period of time, propose and create new food for thought on how a work must be conceived, created, enjoyed and transmitted to be declared as such.

The second novelty is the presentation for the first time in a museum space of a wide selection of Collectibles, digital creations conceived mainly through Artificial Intelligence algorithms, generating randomized collections based on the principle of the uniqueness of the individual elements, which represent in the NFT field a sector of great interest for passionate collectors.

ART IN THE METAVERSE

The term “Metaverse” hasn’t appeared recently, but was in fact coined in 1992, just three years after the creation of the World Wide Web. Science fiction writer Neal Stephenson used it to describe a 3D digital environment, in which Hiro, the main character of the post-cyberpunk novel Snow Crash (1992), leads a parallel existence.

Over the following thirty years, the many important evolutions happening in technology, society, economy and science fiction have led the word “metaverse” to become of common interest.

The Metaverses included in DART 2121 2ND EDITION. NFT ART OF THE FUTURE were: DART Dynamic Metaverse, Decentraland, Arium, Spatial, Musae, Martix and The Sandbox. This last metaverse is a world created with voxels, built on virtual lands where every user can create, play and monetize thanks to a great number of gaming experiences.

COLLECTIBLES

A Collectible is a digital creation conceived mainly through Artificial Intelligence algorithms generating randomized collections based on the principle of the uniqueness of the individual elements, which represent in the NFT field a sector of great interest for passionate collectors.
